The Grow Bag is Working!

We have been planting tomatoes in our coffee sacks, but there are still a few dozen bags that are begging to be used, so we're playing around. This is our beta version of a grow bag.

We filled the sack with potting mix, cut some holds in the sack and planted lettuce. Very easy to build. So far everything seems to be working. The seeds are growing and the soil is retaining plenty of moisture—even on the windy roof!
